Anyone have a clue when we will hear about admissions decisions?

Rumor has it, they'll be mailed on the 28th. (A friend's mom called the office about financial aid stuff, and they mentioned it.)

I also heard they send an email ... gah ... waiting is driving me insane.

does REED also send an email???

My adcom says mailed on the 29th, late in the day.

Reed's email should arrive before the snail version. You'll see kids (and parents?) gleefully posting here when the email arrives. :)

I just called the admission office: decisions are mailed today (3/29) and emailed tomorrow (3/30), "late in the day."

are they emailed either way?

a wonderful way to end the week lol...

Acceptance email only (in the past, at least).

I just got a call from Reed telling me that I was accepted. klasd;jflk;jasdfljk;asdf

OMG.

klasjd;flkjasdfkj THIS IS INSANE. Because I was on LJ and I was like, "oh, I'm waiting on my rejections from Reed and from Northwestern," and then SECONDS LATER (not kidding!), I get a call from Reed and I'm like OMGALDSJKF; ARE YOU SERIOUS. I'm jumping up and down right now OMGASDLJKF;ASLJKDF

Rejected applicants are apparently not e-mailed. Applications were finished on late 28th and apparently mailed then.

omg i just got a call from reed too! at first the phone was staticky and i had no idea what the woman was talking about. plus i never paid my app fee??? (initially, it was a top choice, but i withdrew my app when i figured out they don't give enough finaid) idk they'll prob figure it out soon enough. but wow, to think, i could've gone to reed if i had paid the app fee!

Aw, so if we didn't get a call we can assume we probably didn't get accepted? Where are you guys from? Because I'm in Ohio and it's like 9:00 at night so it'd be a weird time to call.

yeah wait what's with the phone calls?

I'm from IL. They called a little before 8 PM and it's 8:36 where I am, so yeah.

And umm, I also got a phone call from Bryn Mawr telling me I was accepted and it was after 9 PM my time, which would be around 10 PM where Bryn Mawr is. Sooo yes, they sometimes call kind of late lol XDDDDDD

And don't assume anything! ;) There are a lot of people admissions has to call... if you don't get a phone call, don't think you aren't accepted! They might not have been able to reach you or something (that's what happened with Bryn Mawr... they couldn't reach me initially so that's why the called me kind of late). But if you DO get a phone call, obviously that's a good thing ;)

GL! :D

Thanks :) Clearly I shouldn't read any message boards because now I'm just freaked out!

I think there could be something fishy here...not to pee on anyone's parade, but they can't possibly call all the people tonight...8 in IL is already 5 here on the coast...so who's going to make hundreds of phone calls?

I agree with tiger, reed would have to call around 1000 kids in one night. I find that extremely unlikley. I bet they call really well qualified students who they'd really like to have.

Man.

I have never been more scared in my entire life. The possibility of getting home tomorrow after school and potentially finding my email inbox empty would be pretty disquieting, to say the least. I've my fingers crossed though, but I surmise I'll be definitely needing more luck than that.

Congratulations to those who were notified of their admission via telephone though!

Wishin' the best.
