Deferred from Washington and Lee, now what?

I’ve just been deferred from ED to RD. Basically, I’m an international student (Egypt) and I’ve a 1440/1600 SAT score (760 in math, 350 in reading, and 330 in writing and language) I also have a perfect unweighted GPA with most of my courses honors. I have indicated that I’m interested in majoring in physics, computer science, and engineering (in order of priority). There is already another student from the same high school who got accepted in ED round 1. Also, I asked for so much financial aid. Does any of you have any experiences with what w&l eventually do with the deferred students? I already hear about some being in the wait list. Do you think I’ll just be in the wait list or rejected? I’m thinking that if they wanted to accept me, they would do it in ED, not defer me to a more competitive pool. Any opinions?

I think needing a lot of financial aid is going to make it more difficult for you to get accepted. Do you have any safeties on your list?

I have trinity college and college of the holy cross. I also have Vassar and Grinnell but they’re not really safeties.
I know of students who got in w&l and received similar financial aid. W&L is already generous with need-based aid.
