Now that I am deferred from my dream school, when will I hear back? It says by april 15. I cant wait that long.

JonLouis, if BC is in fact your dream school, let them know it!!! Find out who your admissions counselor is. Get in touch with him/her. Everytime you do something that might help you get in, let BC know about it. Visit the school again, remind them that you REALLY want to go. You certainly are competitive enough. Just keep telling them how much you want to go and I am sure it will go a very long way. Good luck:)

Yeah guess what. Ive been in contact with my admissions counselor. I even met him. TWICE! unbelievable

BC really looks for people to show commitment and dedication to the school. Even if you’ve visited your admissions counselor already, it will only help to meet him/her again. Coming to the campus, talking to faculty, and showing how much you want to go there is very highly regarded by admissions; the more you do stuff like this, the greater your chances. I know you’re disappointed and probably feeling bitter, but just keep doing what you’re doing. Show them how much you care about BC. That’s the best bet you have.

As for when you find out, you’ll hear back when regular decision admissions letters are mailed. Good luck, be patient, and I hope you have good news in the spring!

thanks- 10char

From what I’ve read on here and in other sources, it is always helpful to send a letter to the school immediately- like, this week- and let admissions know that BC is your first choice. I’ve also heard of people including writing samples, updated resumes, additional letters of rec, etc. Show them you care! Best of luck to you.
