Definite Answer Please: Barron's or PR for Bio E/M?

I've heard many different things about which is better for SAT II Biology E/M. Apparently Barron's is more detailed, but PR overall is easier to understand and offers greater coverage? Anyone, opinions?

Anyone…? 20 views and no replies?

The Barrons I used was the one from 4+ years ago, and it was horribly detailed, unpleasant, and unnecessary. HOWEVER, since then, Barrons has changed the presentation of the material, and has reduced the breadth of content. The Princeton from 4 years ago was a little too basic.

If you have time/money, buy/borrow both, and take the Barrons tests, read the Barrons labs, and review from the PR.

Someone with more recent experience may help more.

Ok here is the most direct answer I can give. Currently, I have both the PR and Barrons bio books and have skimmed over both of them. While I am sure that it really depends on the SAT 2 that you take- sometimes testers who studied with one book will be better preped for a greater number of questions- I believe that PR gives a more complete review of bio. However, if you really want to get into that 790-800 range, buy and read both books!
