Definition of "quirky"?

<p>To me quirky is having a confidence about yourself, not following the crowd, and enjoying life</p>

<p>My youngest D (14) went to a Bday party for her friend. Almost all the other kids were in jeans, black or navy tshirts, converse and hair in the face. My D was in turquoise, green, pink with little ballet flats and a tennis style skirt. She only put on her jeans to play go on the swings..she was considered quirky by the clones...she was wearing COLOR...</p>

<p>I appreciate the thought, but I am sorta doubtful that S2 could get in to Oberlin . . . one of his quirks is that he doesn't put too much effort into the subjects he is not interested in, ie. math, and though the resultant grades are usually B-, it has not helped his GPA nor has he taken the most difficult curriculum available to him. Just trying to let go and let him be himself.</p>
