Delayed HS Transcripts & SAT scores

My daughter has applied prior to the October 15th deadline. Her high school has been having issues with their computers - apparently a bad virus that has shut them down pretty much the first month of the school year. Because of this, and the usual busy schedule that GC's keep at the beginning of the year, her counselor has not sent out her transcripts as of yet. What happens to her application if it arrives electronically on time, but her transcripts are delayed? Are there any suggestions on how to communicate this problem to the college.

Also, she recently retook the SAT (beginning of Oct) and this time is having her scores sent to the school. She hadn't sent them from any previous sittings. Will her application not be considered "on time" since the scores won't be received until October 29th from College Board? I'm assuming they send the most recent test results with the older ones on that date and not at separate times. Help!

I’d send an e-mail directly to the Admissions office (or have the HS GC do so) regarding the delay. My experience as a CofC parent has been that the college is great about responding to any questions/issues that you may have. I think they expect test score updates to trickle in.

I recently called the admissions office to make sure the transcript arrived after several days of “no show.” The admissions person was very nice and accommodating and in fact all was received eventually. Try calling them and if you need further help ask your guidance counselor to call. I’m confident it will be worked out.
