Following this thread as I would also like to delete some messages. It does appear that some very old ones are missing - I see some conversations I have had with others a couple of years ago, but only my side of them, so clearly part of those message threads have indeed been deleted.
ACK! THE MESSAGES YOU SEE WHEN YOU CLICK ON A USER’S NAME ARE VISITOR’S MESSAGES, NOT PRIVATE MESSAGES.
Do you see ANY new messages when you click on a user’s name? The ones you see are all from early Jeanuary or previous. Those visitor messages were ALREADY on your profile, but people just weren’t as aware of them.
Not even moderators can see any of your private messages.
