I think I will be going with the Mac. Thanks for all the help!

Whatever you do, DON’T get a Dell Latitude. I had one and there were problems from the word “go.” It started off with the cursor slowly drifting to a corner of the screen, and the longer I used it, the faster it would whiz away and it would become so bad that it would stick there. Whenever that happened, the external mouse wouldn’t work either so I had to do everything using the keyboard. Someone recommended disconnecting the trackball in the middle to alleviate the problem. It stopped for about a month and then came back worse that before. Right now, it can’t even function because whenever I power it up I get the dreaded ‘blue screen.’ Oh, did I mention that the battery can now only hold charge for about 1.5 seconds? No matter how long I leave it charging, as soon as it’s unplugged it dies. It also gets EXTREMELY hot after about 30 minutes. So hot that you can’t even keep it on your lap. There were many other faults that I just can’t remember now. I would recommend another brand of computer.

I can’t really offer any advice concerning the Mac, although I’ve heard that it has considerably less viruses than PCs.

Apple’s customer service is pretty awesome, I think mostly because they wanna keep you hooked My friend spilled gatorade all over his MB causing the keyboard to stop working and he called and they fixed it for him in about a week.

^Applecare does not include Accidental Damage like spills or drops.

Depending on how you go about dealing with AppleCare, sometimes it does. It doesn’t state it will, but it seems when you go through the phone rather than in-person, it seems they’re not nearly as strict. Could also be you wording it, as opposed to a Genius inspecting it.

Of course, if you’re careful with your machine, it’s not an issue
