Should I buy a floppy disc drive just so I can create a Windows Startup Disc or is this not neccessary? Is there an alternative method (CD, USB Drive, hard drive)???

They have one in disk (CD) version i believe

yeah, or email them and ask them to send you the disks, so you don't have to make them. they did for me.

Dell computers don't come with floppy drives standard anymore and there's no need to pay extra for one. Most new computers can boot off to CD's and even off of USB drives, so anything you might need, you can burn a CD for. The Windows Startup Disks for XP are essentially a way to access the CD for people who don't have bootable CD drives. The CD's for all recent operating systems are bootable and you can even get old stuff like DOS to boot off to boot off of a CD if you ever needed it.

Is the disc titled "Microsoft XP Reinstallation Disc"?

I think Dell charges $8-$10 (depending on the version) for the Windows XP Backup disks.

dell will send you them free if you e-mail them and ask for them. or you can pay $10 to buy it with the computer.

caballero05: that'd be what you want

Mine came with my laptop in December. Coming in handy now that I have to reinstall windows :-(
