How does one go about demonstrating interest (without visiting)? Thanks for the help!

You could e-mail the schools/students with questions you have (to which there are no answers on the website)

At the very least, join their mailing list. That’s usually the first step. If they have a pre-application alumni interview process, sign up for it.

apply ED…

If the school visits your high school, attend the session and research the school ahead of time so you can ask the admissions counselor visiting intelligent questions. Also during this visit dress appropriately and if possible shake hands and thank the counselor after his or her presentation. (Many times the College Admissions person visiting will be one of the same people to read your college application later on.)

If the school holds a reception in a local hotel attend that and the same applies.
If you are interested in playing a sport email the appropriate coach.

Some colleges say the do not track demonstrated interest and may say so on their Admissions page.

If the school is far away from your area they may offer interviews in your town or area. Eamil the admissions department to see if they offer that.
