<p>None. For financial aid purposes she is a dependent until she is 24 unless she meets some other criteria (married, veteran, has a dependent of her own etc). makes no difference if you claim her as a dependent or not on your taxes (I assume you are talking about taxes)..</p>

<p>You may want to check other ramifications such as the effect on medical insurance. Our insurance still allows our kids to stay on as long as she is a student and under 24 even if we don't claim her - some do not according to other posters on the forum.</p>
