Deployed between accounting 1 and 2 need advice

So last year I completed Principles of accounting with a B+ how ever between semesters I had gotten deployed to Egypt so I couldn’t continue to Accounting 2. when I return next year I also plan on moving states. My question is, would it be easy to pick accounting back up, or should I retake the class?

That is probably a decision you’ll have to make on whether to just review the notes and the text book from the Accounting 1 class or retake the class. Personally, I would review the notes and text book because I think the material is not too difficult. What is the title of the Accounting 2 class?

A few comments:

– I would make an appointment and speak to an advisor at your college so they can help you sort through the best way to handle your situation.

–Often Accounting 2 is typically (although there can be some variation by school) managerial/cost accounting which is a good bit different from financial accounting. If that is the case at your school, you may be OK going on with just a self-review of your accounting.

–However, your principles of accounting class would typically be a necessary background to Intermediate Accounting (which you would take if you plan to be an accounting major) so keep that in mind if you plan to go that route. Perhaps you can arrange to audit Accounting 1 (sit in on the class without re-taking the exams etc.) so you can refresh your memory before taking Intermediate.

Do you have your book? Work the problem sets. Wish I had done that more when I took Principles of Accounting decades ago.
