Deposit fee?

Since I've already been accepted to Rose and know im going I want to know if sending in a deposit fee this early will hurt my chances at getting more money from Rose.

That depends on the school, however it would be safer to wait in terms of financial aid. Some school (and this most likely does not include rose) will do things like offer a student a scholarship to apply early decision and then accept them with minimal financial aid afterwards. They don't need to give them aid, because they already agreed they'd be attending the school with the scholarship.

I'm fairly certain that it won't make a difference either way.

Yeah Dal I was thinking of that situation, well thanks for the replies form both you guys.

I'm waiting myself, but that's more because I'm not entirely sure that Rose is where I'll end up. If it was refundable, I would in an instant, but as of now, I'm waiting for my FinAid information.

There is no advantage to give the deposit now, and waitint may or may not give you a better aid package. So I would suggest to wait and see what they do aid wise first. Even then you can possibly mention to Fin Aid that you are considerring Rose and XYZ U, and see if they can up the Aid before you put down your deposit. If you do wish to negotiate for more aid, I suggest doing it almost immediately after you get your initial aid package, since schools have a limited amount of aid to give out.

When is the deposit due anyway?

I think sometime in May is the latest that it can be submitted to get a guaranteed spot in the class.

May 1st. That's pretty much universal.
