They're so right when they say that when problems arrive, they arrive in bundles. My maternal grandfather is almost on his death bed and he has become far from us,more than we could have ever imagined.
My parents lived in the US for about 6 years on green cards.
They even had applied for citizenship but unfortunately due to personal reasons,we all came back to settle down and start afresh in India(1998) leaving behind most of our relatives behind in the US.
We never had any plans of visiting America because of our poor financial situation and never paid heed to our expired green cards.
We surrendered them and requested a visitor's visa, were interviewed and told that we should wait for about a few weeks. It has been 47 weeks and they still have our passports lying at the embassy. We've tried emails but they don't give a firm response. They keep on saying it's under admin-processing.

This is what they reply => Your application is pending under Section 221(g) of the Immigration and Nationality Act (INA) for mandatory administrative processing. There is no definite time frame for this processing as it depends on the individual circumstances of each case.

Now, this is our'circumstance'.Any advice? and when I say any I literally mean it.Any advice on how to go about this predicament ?
I am a US citizen but cannot sponsor till I'm 21. With all these college apps and all, when I see my mother sob and break down, it's hard and bitter for ALL OF US to work together in this so very important stages of our lives.

You guys are so wonderful and amazing to have read till the last. A sincere thanks to you.But please guide and show us a way.
My mother thinks we're fighting a lost battle.
PS : If you need some more info, I'm more than willing.
