Dickinson Early Applicants c/o 2023

admitted with Benjamin Rush Scholarship! the acceptance letter even referenced my long-term dedication to music

My husband and I met at Dickinson, so I am beyond excited that our son got accepted!

Love how they personalized the acceptance letter and quoted my daughters essay! Rush scholarship and excellent need based aid puts it $12k less than cost at Pitt - in state. ?

@GrayStrong Really sorry, if itā€™s any consolation that doesnā€™t mean rejection at all. Iā€™ve been deferred from 3 schools so far, one of which was my dream school. Whatever happens is meant to be and hey, who knows, thereā€™s a good chance youā€™ll get in on the RD release! Good luck on your journey further on!!

DD was deferred. Excellent stats, activities, visited, attended local eventsā€¦we are surprised and bummed. Congrats to those accepted!

Has anyone not gotten a status update? Switched from EA to ED2 application earlier in the week and my application status hasnā€™t changed

sball99 I think your notification date might actually be different/later for ED2, but not 100% sure. That would explain not hearing yet, although I know that seems weird. Technically it puts you in a different applicant pool.

thank you! very anxious because I havenā€™t heard!

D got in. Clearly personalizing all the acceptance letters is what took so long to post! : )

deferred

Congrats to those who got in, and to those deferred or who didnā€™t get in ā€“ your place is out there!!

Thank you, she is pretty okayā€¦ disappointed but optimistic. The Instagram stories welcoming everyone are a little painful though.

Congrats to all accepted and I agree, they will all land where they belong!

If your student is deferred but still interested, be sure to let the school know. Send any updates on ECs, too. If it is really your studentā€™s first choice, ask your GC if they can communicate that.

Anyone know if they mail acceptance letters via regular mail, and if so what comes in the package?

Yes - I think a few years ago my son got a nice package and info for accepted student day.

We came home after visiting Penn State to find out D was accepted. These are night and day. Anyway, it was exciting, and Dickinson was extremely generous, which shocked us, Now I want to research some more.

DS was accepted with the
Dickinson scholarship. Not much else in the way of aid, which unfortunately likely puts it out of our price rangeā€¦

If in doubt go to the accepted day program - that really clinched for my son. They have also been very generous to my daughter, and are very happy to have Dickinson as a very good option.

D19 was accepted with very generous financial aidā€¦whew! It was her first acceptance and while not her first choice she is SUPER relieved to have such a great option available. She needs to go back and visit again, maybe do an overnight to really give it a good consideration.

Whew!!

Accepted! No merit but the need based puts D-son on par for cost with my local state school  And I know what you mean @atanvarne So relieved as itā€™s my first acceptance.
