<p>Does anyone know how long the Dickinson essay should be? It's the only college on my commonapp list that doesn't have a word limit. I usually write too long essays, so I would appreciate if you could tell me which length would be appropriate.</p>

<p>My D wrote about a page. She felt that the admissions staff might not be happy if it were too long. But the length of the supplement essay seems to be a personal choice.</p>
<p>I didn’t know what to do about the word limit either. I looked at my other supplements for reference. Most of them said 1-2 paragraphs or no more than 250 words, so that’s the guideline I’m following for this essay too.</p>
