Dictionary on Calculator?

Is it possible?

Doesn’t matter if there is or not, you’re not allowed to use a calculator on the writing and critical reading parts of the test.

But on some of those nice Ti-89’s? Of course it’s possible.

mind blown *

Oh my gawd…

back to reality *

Wait no it’s not possible

Yes, it is possible. When you do a CR section, write the answer choices (for the questions you don’t know) on the answer sheet (in the margins or something), and when you take a math section, consult the dictionary in your calculator and then answer the question.

^ Creative 10char

The 2 SATs I took the proctor didn’t event move from her chair, so you could work on whatever section you wanted basically. If you had a calculator out they wouldn’t even know you’re on CR

There have been a lot cheating threads in CC lately…

I’ve surprisingly heard that lots of people do cheat on the SATs… I personally somewhat despise the CollegeBoard anyway…

Of course it’s possible. How else do you think I could’ve score consistently with a 770+ on CR without much studying?

Lol. If I’d done that I would’ve had an 800 on my CR. Damn ethics.

Lovely! MACHINATIONS FOR CHEATING IN THE SAT! That works as a title for a book! You, guys, are so strange…One time, you are willing to make use of time differences to get the full exam within your hands, before the test day. Another time, you are willing to get intelligent students in disguise, in return for a few hundred bucks, to solve for you the exam. And now, you are willing to cheat from a dictionary in a calculator in the CR, just because you are pretty lethargic to study a few words everyday. If we, Americans or whoever’s mother language is English, are finding difficulty (and willing to cheat) in studying a few words, what would international students do, kill themselves!! You know, I can predict that your upcoming stratagem is to kill the proctor!!

^Your post doesn’t make any sense.

^And why is that??!! I am just portraying what you said in other posts, in my own way!!

We rarely touch the subject of ‘cheating’ here. Most threads discuss about either challenging questions or test-taking tips. Correct me if I’m wrong, but I’m quite sure the students here are pretty intelligent and able to do their tests by themselves. :)

^You aren’t wrong! I am just reviving the nature of a few of previous comments related to ‘cheating’. And, yes, indeed, the majority here, are pretty intelligent! I didn’t mean any affront!

You know, I once read a SAT CR passage about detective novels and how they make the reader simulate the feeling someone gets when he/she commits a heinous crime without actually having to do so. I’m thinking all these cheating threads are of the same psychology? I doubt CCers would actually cheat. Talking about cheating isn’t going to do any harm.
