Did anyone get accepted for freshmen 09 yet?

accepted
3.6 uw 3.7 w
1910 sat
28 act
680, 530 on sat2's

I was offered admission into Newark, but not New Brunswick, which means I'm crossing Rutgers off my list. Kind of disappointing!

***? Sugarpop, your stats are a 3.4 and an 1840/2400 SAT, how the heck did you not get into new brunswick? What was your M+V? I'm getting scared because I have a 3.22 gpa and 1990 SAT.

So if you only made it into Newark what does it say?

Newark .. Accepted

New Brunswick .. Denied?

Can someone post an acceptance letter?

warhead55- It might depend on where the person applied to (a fact we all know), if sugarpop didn't get into Arts and Sciences New Brunswick lets say-I'm really surprised because his/her stats are what most kids have when they ENROLL to Rutgers. Honestly I don't know what Rutgers is thinking this year, it's bad enough they don't look at a persons EC's cuz I believe that EC activities say alot more about a person than a piece of paper filled with numbers and they can't keep saying we have too many applicants and what not. The Ivies and all the other competitive colleges that have the same amount of applicants manage to do review everything why can't Rutgers?

When you're accepted, it shows the colleges you applied to and says "Admitted/Not Admitted", and then there's links for you to click in order to enroll.

I'm not sure why I wasn't accepted at New Brunswick... My M+V was a 1200, so with all of that I was in the middle 50%. To be honest, I'm not upset or anything, just a little surprised. I never really considered NB to be out of my reach, but I guess that just goes to show you that the whole admissions process isn't so cut and dry. However, I didn't realize they don't consider ECs, which I believe are playing a huge role in my admission to other places. Congrats to everyone who has gotten in though!

ok so my scores arent awesome like everyone elses.
my SAT is 1460
GPA is 3.24
Soccer 4yrs , Swimming, Softball 4rs, yearbook, prom committe, heal
I applied to the School of Arts and Sciences, for education. Do you think i could get it?
& Im a in-stater

what was ur sat?

up that SAT - register for JAN and get try to shoot for a 1700 atleast

I applied a few days before Thanksgiving and had my SAT grades there a few days afterwards. It shows that they have my grades, SAT scores, and application fee, yet the site hasn't updated since December 2nd.

My GPA: 3.8/4.5 or 3.38/4.0
SAT: 1180 (520 CR, 660 M)/1670 (+490 W)
Rank: School doesn't report
In-State
I have some extracurriculars, but not extensive. I do still have a job that I've worked at for 3 years though.

I only applied to Rutgers because it is the school I want to go to and if not I'd be going to Community College. The application fees were too much for me, $65 just for Rutgers. I applied to the School of Engineering (My top choice), School of Arts and Sciences, and Rutgers Business School.

Do I have a chance of getting in? My friend applied back in October and heard back in November that he got into the School of Engineering. My GPA was better than his, but his SATs were higher.

seniors09ru, a friend of mine got into the NB campus with a 1390 sat score. So you never really know. Did you do the essay? If so, the essay might be able to help you get in.

1 and a half months so far. and nothing. its really disappointing to see people get in in 2 days and know i've been waiting so long. i hate rutgers =(

msajnabee, i did the essay. It was pretty good if i say so my self, i heard that they really want teachers thou. and thats what my essay was about. Do you think that would help?

forthesakeof

I just learned from a friend of mine who is a computer programmer at Rutgers that all those people who got accepted fast got accepted by a computer. If they have a certain score, they get accepted automatically (full disclosure, including my son). If you didn't make that, then it gets reviewed by a human, which takes longer.

One of my son's friends applied in late August and heard in Oct - it was the only school lhe applied to, has wanted to go there forever! His dad is a big Rutgers alum and a big supporter, has season tickets to the football games and is on some committee. But the kid got rejected, his grades were too low. Well, he got rejected gently, they said that if he brought his grades up this marking period, that they would accept him. But it took a while.

katytibbs, how is that possible? there are people in other rutgers threads that have 2100 sats who have yet to be accepted. i have a decent score myself and have been waiting for 2 months.

I applied to Pharmacy, College of Business & College of Arts and Science in the beginning of November & I still haven't heard back. My friend who applied after me got their replies in like 2 weeks. What's going on? Does mine take longer cause I did Pharmacy & it's harder to review?

Same retro.

I applied before my friend and they got their acceptance already. But I applied to pharmacy so I think that is what is delaying the decision...

I just want to forget about the pharm since I know I will not get in... I want to apply to honors program and get it over with already.

Does anyone know if we get a notification of our decision on e-mail or do we have to manually check everyday on the Rutgers website?

I think they email you first, then update the status that night and you get a letter in the mail a few days later.
Haha, the status page is my homepage. I am getting really impatient waiting over a month.
