Hey, did you guys just arbitrarily select a mentor? I think I'm going to session 2, too.

Lol. Session 1 is better, or so what my friends in regents tell me.

The thing about sessions 1 is that it's during the school days. I can't really afford to miss 3 days of school even though it is second semester senior year. XD

Even if the Regents scholarship were $7,500 a year, it wouldn't be full ride. UCs have probably the most (or close to the most) expensive room and board in the nation :(

I thought it was full ride. To quote from the Regents site:

"If a Regents scholar has additional financial need beyond the $5500 honorarium, the scholar will be awarded university scholarships and/or grants to cover the remainder of the scholar’s need."

if you're mentor is jon kang, you are a lucky kid. he's a great guy! you guys will have an awesome time at the overnight program....lots of fun!

jinobi, that's IF you have need.
regents by itself is a merit scholarship meant to cover tuition.
i suppose that regents scholars with financial need just get more... financial aid? but not everyone gets the full ride xD

Oh wow, UCLA sent a nice card/brochure listing the benefits of the scholarship.

Berkeley just sent a packet basically saying "accepting the scholarship may lead to paralysis and death, etc... please sign here:". ?_?

lol i love how in the overnight stay itinerary, it says there's going to be a game night :)
