BUT, isn't the financial aid office separate from the admissions office? Honestly, they probably do it for everyone...meh.

how funny is this!?

everything is gone, i can't even see what FA documents they have received.

They could have a program or something that makes it easy to calculate or something?...but still it seems strange.

Well, at least mysteries like this keep us entertained until the 29th? lol.

the fin aid office is different, and I think doing 18,000 fin aid packages when a large percentile of those applying are going to get denied is a little redundant.
I'm sure that not everyone who applied checked the fin aid box, but Brown is expensive, and I'm sure that many people did.

Okay. Just talked to admission counselor at brown. He says this is a new system so there a lot of glitches. According to him, nothing that happens until March 29th matters.

so that was a productive 50 minutes gone from my life

Thanks for calling, tushar!

Yes, thanks tushar!

And "lol" at Cynical....SO true haha.

Oh damn, I missed out on all the action :(

they pulled the "check the status of my application" link off the main admissions page..is this a new change? it used to be on that page, though, right?

Yeah, it did.

thanks to tushar and lacrimedellaluna for the call and links =). was satisfying at least hahahahaha

no problem. 6 days 11 minutes to go guys!!

No problem =)
And oh snap, you're right, tushar! It's less than a week now; I just realized that...woah...

So they're working out the kinks of the new system...but still the information was there and we saw it, so it must mean SOMETHING.

I'm desperate for some kind of clue, but I know this is futile...

i know this is horribly late (i just called the help office to get my username/passkey which i never got in the mail)

and just fyi, for anyone left speculating...i did NOT apply for FA, but have the links.

And, after all, what else could the adm. counselor say? "You're right, you're accepted" 6 days ahead of schedule? It seems far more likely he will try to cover it up and deny it means anything.

true. we will just have to wait and see. If people who saw financial aid info got accepted, then we know it meant something. But we wont find out till 6 days from now.

I agree with momogem. Even if the links do mean something, and I hope they do, Brown is not going to acknowledge that.
