Hey everyone, so ECU is my top choice I need help knowing if I got denied. Everyone said there status said “letter In route” before getting accepted mine says “letter mailed” does this mean I got denied?
My D got the same as you…I was wondering the same. Its her first choice also.
I received my letter, It was a letter of denial…
Sorry to hear that…may I ask what your stats were?
3.0, sat 1580, im an early college high school student graduating with my associates degree as well as my diploma, tons of extra curricular activities with leadership roles while keeping a part time job
Wow. I’m surprised. Were you denied or deferred? Where else do you have in mind?
O well I’ve been preparing my D for the denial letter. She has 3.4 GPA weighted 1190 first SAT (don’t expect much better on the next one; she does not do well on standardized test). Took honors classes though out highschool. Lots of extra curricular and leadership roles.
I was denied, she will get accepted, in the letter it says I wasnt admitted because the minimum gpa they look at is 3.2. I applied to other schools but my scores have yet to go through so I have no idea what to do at this point. All i know is that if your accepted youll have a status that says letter in route, if your denied you will have a status that says letter mailed
Her status says “letter mailed” also. My guess it her SAT score is too low.
Good luck to you. Where one door closes…another one opens. My D will be heart broken, but you both will be fine.
Denied…unweighted GPA is 3.1
As you said, they want a 3.2
SAT score too low…did not offer deferral to wait on next SAT scores.
Sorry to hear that, I hope she finds a school that she loves as much as ECU, I was heart broken but I learned it isnt the only option
How long was it from when you first saw the letter mailed to when you received the letter of denial?
@CarPanthers25 2 days
Hey guys, what happens if I reapply with a completely different account, new major, and new essays
I doubt the system would even let you start a new account, based on your SS# and other info that you can’t change. Have you considered making an appointment to meet with an admissions counselor?
Ive already submitted it, and no should I? what can it do to better my chances
@dessie23 If you really want to go to ECU, meeting with admissions can’t hurt. They may be able to give you some ideas, since you are coming from early college your situation might be more complex. I don’t know how convenient it would be for you to visit again, it was just an idea.
