did i just completely screw up my transfer applications

I am a freshman in college who just applied for transfer admission to several schools for fall 2017. I used the Common App, and sent in what I thought was the entire Common App on February 28th, a day before the deadline. Today I logged back onto my Common App to upload an essay for a school that has a deadline of March 15th. It was then that I realized that I had failed to send in the Writing Supplement portions to four of the schools I had applied to. I paid and submitted the Common App, but not the writing supplements. I immediately sent the essays, but I am concerned because they are technically now a day late. Will my transfer application not be considered? I emailed the respective admission offices about the issue, but have yet to hear back.

bump im desperate and need help

To be fair, you did submit your application before the deadline, but it wasn’t entirely complete. You immediately uploaded the supplements and sent them emails explaining the situation- I seriously wouldn’t worry at all. It’s not as though you were suddenly thrown into the “rolling admissions, non priority” pool or something. Relax and work on your other applications. Good luck!

Call.

hey I was in a similar situation this spring and after calling the schools i applied to, (definitely do that!) the consensus I got from the admissions officers was that so long as the app & fee were in and paid for on time, then the writing supp is ok(ish) to be submitted late because it is technically a supporting document. Plus, most schools have later supporting doc deadlines for transfers bc A) they need to deal with the freshman pool first, and B) our docs like midterms etc arent available until later. so you’re ok!!
