Did not get into Business School through Priority Decision

If I did not get into the Business School, and I applied through priority decision, will I be reevaluated during the regular decision period?

No, you will have to apply as an internal transfer once at UMD

You could always call admissions though and ask. Worth a try.

Thank you, I will try and see what they say.

My son got his acceptance package today and it does not say that he did not get into Smith…I find that weird and somewhat misleading! Anyone else care to weigh in?

@cbpmom‌, If accepted to Smith, there will be a forthcoming letter. First the general welcome letter and then the Smith letter. But again, the bottom of the online acceptance letter states what advising college your son is in.

@cbpmom‌ more to point your though, I think it could be clearer on UMD’s end. I agree that it would be nice to have all the info in one letter. I also think they could make the online acceptance letter more straight forward by not having to scroll down to the very bottom to see the advising college.

I agree with @terpmom7; UMD communications could be improved. My son’s online letter indicates advising college is Smith, so we’re confident he was accepted into Smith. But snail mail letter, which arrived Weds, says nothing about Smith either way.
