I wasn't prepared and overall did very poorly on my SAT subject tests,

U.S. History: 670
Lit: 580
Math 2: 580

I signed up for standby testing for December (the last possible chance for me to take them) but as a whole, I am wondering if I should report the one's I have on my UC/CSU app to at least show that I took them.

Would reporting these scores help/harm me? Or should I just wait to retake them in December and hope that I do better? Any advice is appriciated; muchas gracias :)

When are your deadlines?
Many schools accept December scores, so sending your current scores may not be necessary. If you have enough time, you may be able to see the results of your December tests before sending them. If you do not have to send your December scores directly to the schools, you can choose to send your best scores. Most schools only require 2 subject tests, so you could just pick your top 2 if one doesn’t improve enough.

How do the schools you’re applying to look at your scores?
If you must send your December scores directly to the schools to meet the deadlines, then I would recommend sending all of your scores. Some schools will look only at the highest scores out of everything you send, which could be beneficial if one of your December tests doesn’t go well. If anything, sending lower scores followed by higher scores will show the schools your determination and ability to improve.

I think it is in your best interest to retake them, especially if you know you can do better. Your scores would most likely improve just from taking them a second time and being familiar with the tests and testing procedures.
