Currently my AP Biology teacher is not working for me or for a lot of other students. She doesn’t give out any review material, labs often have a multitude of last-minute changes, she refuses to give tests back after she finishes grading them, and on several occasions whenever she checks our IBNs (interactive biology notebooks), her criteria for what she expects to see in there is totally vague. Many of us secretly wish she would just retire already, especially since she looks old too. What’s your story and how did you deal with it?
-
Look at your syllabus. Does she have any info on there?
-
Meet with her at her “office hours”…ask what the rubric is for the IBNs.
Many teachers don’t give tests back after they are graded (as they reuse them). But they should allow you to see what you got wrong. Make an appt and ask if you can see your test.
Teachers don’t have to give out review material…use your book or an AP Bio study guide for that.
What are the last minute changes? -
