Yeah. I’m not taking physics at all in hs. I have no room. I’ve taken “physical science” which is our school’s honors intro to physics. then ive taken honors and ap bio and honors chem and ap chem senior year. I applying to cornell or jhu ed as a history major. given this, would the lack of physics create any issue?
thanks

well i'm sure cornell would have liked to have seen physics on your transcript, and it would also indicate that you're challenging yourself. Alas, you are a history major, so who it might not be an end all situation.

I'm not good with abbreviations; what is jhu?

jhu = johns hopkins university
yeah...i haven't decided between the two yet...

I'm pretty sure they like to see bio, chem, physics if possible. But it seems to me like they look even more at the rigor of the courses... and it's possible that your "Intro to Physical Sciences" covered about the same stuff as another "Physics" class. The fact that you took AP Bio and AP Chem will look good, and they might let you get away with it because, as a history major, they may not expect you to gravitate toward science.
