Differed Early Admission

Just curious the statistics of people who were differed. GPA, Test Scores, Class Rank, OOS or in state, etc.

Also, does anyone know the chances of being admitted in the regular applicant pool after being differed?

As someone who got deferred myself (34 ACT, 4.4 GPA, good ECs, good recs, but OOS), I’m curious as well. Is this one of the schools that just defers everyone or is it a good sign that I got deferred?

D got deferred OOS with 34 ACT, 3.9 UW GPA, top 10% of top public magnet school. But honestly the stats of many of the applicants who were outright rejected were very similar. Just a really hard school to get into OOS.

My DD got deferred OOS too. I’m starting to get worried.

I got deferred OOS 33 ACT, 3.98 GPA. wasn’t really surprised since they only can take 18% OOS. got accepted to michigan, which is instate for me and probably where I will be heading

deferred OOS 34 act, 9 AP classes, strong ECs, school does weird gpa but I think it equates to a 3.9 GPA UW. super bummed but I think that I will have a better shot at regular decision

32, 4.2W 3.9UW, OOS, mediocre extracurriculars, probably average recs, diversity (middle eastern)… My second school getting deferred from. Starting to think that I applied to high reach schools for my stats

I was deferred OOS 3.917 UW GPA 4.14 W
33 ACT
28/483 Class Rank

Not everyone with your numbers is deferred. My daughter was rejected – OOS, 3.93 UW at a magnet school, 34 ACT, 5s on every AP exam, varsity athlete in 3 sports with several awards (e.g., city champion), peer tutor, part-time job, etc. etc. My daughter didn’t think she would get in. But I’m actually shocked she at least didn’t get deferred.
