Difference between 20A-B-C and 20A,B,C classes

I'm not completely sure, but is A-B-C, where you must start with A, and then move on to B and C?

And A,B,C classes is where we choose which of the three to take?

Sorry, I just couldn't find the answer since I don't have my gen. catalog with me

Yeah. If there are dashes, then you MUST take it in that order and you might have to take all those classes in the sequence. If there are no dashes, then you can take it in any order and you don’t even have to take all three; you can just take one or two and it won’t matter.

while that is true 99% of the time, there are some weird exceptions here and there…
for example, take the physics 52 series (A-B-C).
to get into 52B you only need a math class (2J). to get into 52C, you need 52A.

normally, you can take your time between taking A-B etc (econ 20 A in the fall, maybe econ 20B in the spring a year later), but some of the science sequences may say you need to take it all in one year/cant mix and match over time…
