Next year, I'm taking AP Calc AB, but I plan on taking the BC exam. I have taken/am taking Calculus 1 at a local CC with no problems (have the highest grade in the class) so I will be able to take Calculus 2 at the same CC during the spring. I just want to know the biggest difference of the 2 exams besides the material. Will I have enough Calulus backround to take the test?

There is not much difference besides the material. BC covers a few more topics than does AB. Otherwise, the AB and the BC exams are identical in:
1. format
2. timing
3. number of questions
In fact, these two tests can be administered simultaneously in the same room. These two exams sometimes even share some free-response questions (the same question can appear on both AB and BC exams).

Whether you would be ready for the BC exam depends on the CC's curriculum. Go to http://www.collegeboard.com/student/testing/ap/calculus_bc/topic.html?calcbc and check to see if u have covered or will cover the materials listed.

On the actual exam, three of the FR questions are exactly the same. this year I believe it was 1,2 and 4. As far as the calss goes, BC covers all of AB plus series and imroper intergrals

and polar coordinates, as in this years test frq.

Series (big one), improper integrals, integration by parts, polar and parametric equations, and vectors. I think that's what is extra in BC.
