Different High Schools

I am currently a junior, I studied abroad for 9th and 10th grade and in 11th grade I came back to my home state. The school I go to now is in a very rural area and does not provide many opportunities. However, there is a possibility that I might transfer to a high school in a much more populous area with plenty of opportunity during my senior year. Since I will most likely be applying from that school, I am worried that colleges will judge my accomplishments based on what resources my senior year school provided me, and will not look at the context of my situation in my past schools. I managed to do the best with what I had in my previous schools, but may be considered very average to a student in the school I am transferring to. (For example, I only took 2 AP classes in a school that offered four. But the school I am transferring to has 20+ AP’s, will they compare me to other students in that school or the one I am currently in?)

I apologize if any of this is confusing. I understand colleges always look at what you did with what you have, and so I’m wondering, will they what I had at my old schools?

Thanks in advance.

They will look at what you did at each place. Don’t worry about this.

^ Would I need to send them anything from my old schools so they can have an idea of what was available to me?

Most places will require official copies of your transcripts from all of your previous schools. When you ask for those, ask the guidance offices to include the formal school profile as well so that the colleges and universities will know what was available to you.

You should have the school transcript and school profile sent from each place you attended (if colleges ask for it or not).
