I currently attend the University of Pittsburgh at Johnstown as an Education Major. I am slowly figuring out that this really isn't what I want to do, what I really want to do is major in Studio Art (but it is not offered at Pitts branch campus') So I'm trying to transfer into Pitt main after this (freshmen) year. On the Pitt web site it says there are Internal, External and Regional transfers. I was wondering what all these different types are. If anyone has an info I'd really appreciate it. Thanks!

Hi!
I just have a question, when you applied to Pitt, did you apply to the main campus and they offered you a branch campus? Or did you solely apply to the branch campus? Thanks!

I only applied to the branch I’m at because I knew I didn’t have the Scores to get into Main. But now after I’ve spent time at this branch and will have college credits I wanted to see if I could transfer in.

Internal: Someone from Pitt Main in a different school (i.e. Nursing, Engineering, Business) switching into the Arts & Sciences school
External: Someone from a different college transferring to Pitt Main
Regional: Someone from a Pitt Branch School transferring to Pitt Main

You’re considered a regional transfer.

Thanks!!!
