Hi all,
I have already made a lot of posts here, but I have to admit that I am very nervous scared of how I will perform at Case. I am a psych major, so I obviously do not have to pass any crazy math/engineering/science courses or whatever, but I’m wondering how people generally do. I have a pretty good work ethic, but I think I breezed by at my previous institution. Is it common for many people to get ~ 3.0s, or even hover around that area? Unsurprisingly, at my previous school, most people had ~3.3 or higher, at least the people I talked to. I had a ~3.62, and am worried that I am about to dip significantly at Case.
I think if you work hard and use the resources provided, you will do well.
If they admitted you, they think you can succeed.
@bopper thanks again!
To give you an idea of what kind of GPAs people have, here are the most recent [url=<a href=“https://case.edu/ugstudies/graduation-commencement/%5Drequirements%5B/url”>https://case.edu/ugstudies/graduation-commencement/]requirements[/url] for Latin honors at graduation:
Top 10 percent: summa cum laude [Fall 2015, Spring 2016, and Summer 2016] = 3.900-4.000
Next 10 percent: magna cum laude [Fall 2015, Spring 2016, and Summer 2016] = 3.788-3.899
Next 15 percent: cum laude [Fall 2015, Spring 2016, and Summer 2016] = 3.633-3.787
I wouldn’t be surprised if most people are above 3.0, at least by the time they graduate.
@halcyonheather thanks!
