Digital audition instead if in-person

Hi, Me and my family currently live outside of the states. I really have a dilemma if I should fly to the states to audition for the schools I want even though they accept digital submitted auditions. Most of them even point out that “Digital submissions are considered just as seriously as in-person artistic reviews and the same team of evaluators reviews our digital candidates”. But I still fear that a digital audition won’t be taken as serious as an in-person audition.
Well, what do you think? Anyone can share from his experience?

While I don’t have any personal experience, I would say that given your circumstances and the cost of travel, I would totally go the digital route! I’m sure that the schools would understand the time and cost involved of international travel. Also, with the technology available they could always schedule a Skype meeting if they wanted to have a one on one.
