<p>If anyone ever wondered at the remarkable dedication required of the DIII student athletes, who play for no other reason than the love of the game (there are not enough "tips" to account for Williams' scholar/athletes and nothing obliges a student athlete to ever play), spend 20+ hours a week practicing/playing and still maintain grades. Today's NYTimes about D1 sports, where the kids are essentially "employed" to do it, is informative and makes the effort of our DIII students even more commendable.
