Dining Dollars?

Can somebody explain exactly what dining dollars are? I know that they are used for meals not at EVK or Parkside...but for ex, can you buy snacks, gum, etc. with this? or no? I'm really confused..

Dining dollars can buy meals at Parkside or EVK. This is directly from the USC meal plan brochure: “dining dollars may be used in any USC Hospitality residential and retail dining location on campus throughout the semester.” You’ll find more information at:

[Residential Dining - Meal Plans](http://hospitality.usc.edu/ResidentialDining/MealPlans.aspx)

Most meal plans come with Dining Dollars to allow flexibility to purchase food at a variety of eating locations on campus, i.e. The Lot and Cafe 84. I think most all food venues on campus take dining dollars

The only reason to add dining dollars is if parents want to limit that the $ is spent on food. Otherwise, discretionary money can be added to your USC card to allow you to buy meals or snacks if need be. Dining Dollars are only usable in the semester they are purchased for…they do not roll over to the next semester. Discretionary money rolls over – big plus! Check out the USC Residential Dining info on-line. It does a good job explaining your options.
