Directed Studies!

Hey, I'm an incoming Yale freshman wait listed for Directed Studies, and no one answered my last thread. How intense is it really? What is a freshman course that covers the same material but is less intense? Any other DS advise?

Hehe, talk to Luminouzzzz (can’t spell it…) and ask for his/her spot :)

A good number of students drop DS during shopping period opening up WL spots. If you visit the DS course director at office hours in the first week, you are nearly certain of obtaining a spot. Intro philosophy courses may cover some of the same material but there are poorer substitutes for the literature and history/political science components.
