Hi,

I appeared for my SAT this December and received a disappointingly low score of 2080:
Math: 720
CR: 670
Writing: 690
MCQ: 72
Essay: 8

I had been aiming for a 2300+ score and so 2080 was quite demoralizing.
I have been working for the SAT since June 2012. When I started off I was getting around 2000-2100. By September i was getting 2100-2250.
In the last 2 months leading to the exam I did some really intensive Prep/Practice. I was scoring around 2300-2340 in the last 2-3 weeks.
I also had signed up for a Kaplan Online Course which offered 4 full length practice tests. I scored 1710, 1970, 2150, 2280. I also consistently scored 10 in the essay.

So you can probably understand the shock I got when I realized I had scored lesser than what I was scoring 6 months ago in June.
I'm thinking of reappearing in Jan 26th but I'm not very sure.
What could have gone wrong and when should I retake the SAT?

I tend to make a lot of silly errors. Like while writing the SAT, twice I caught myself circling B when i wanted to give C. In Maths particularly I flunk on the easy questions by doing something exceedingly stupid.

Personally I feel I'm fully capable of scoring 2300+ on the SAT. I'm rather good with Academics (3.8-4.0 GPA) and great at Maths and English.
