Hi everyone. So i have a huge problem on my hands here. Today in school the teacher passed out a pop test and told us not to start yet so he can answer questions from a pervious test. So of course, my dumb butt starts, and im writing on the test in a black sharpie marker. I WRITE ALLL OVER THE TESt and then he says okay begin, but do NOT write on the test. Just last week he yelled at me cuz i wrote on it when he said not to so i was screwed. So i finished the test and handed in my scan tron and he asked for my test booklet. I said i already gave it to him but i had put it inside my desk. He said i cant find it so he gave me the pile of tests to find it. I erased some random girls name and wrote my name on it. He was like y r there erase marks and i made an excuse and he just forgot about it. Then he went through to make sure he had received all the tests and noticed the girls test gone, but he remembered taking hers earlier. So he flipped through them again and saw my test with the erase marks. SO i went back to my desk and shoved the test inside my back paack. The bell rang and i left and he told me to leave my backpack so he can search it (I WAS FREAKNG OUT THIS NEVER HAPPENS TO ME). I came back and he couldnt find it, but i felt guilty so i handed it over to him. Now my mom thinks im a cheater and counselor and administrator. I WAS NOT GOING TO SHOW ANYONE THE TEST I WAS JUST GOING to thROW IT AWAY. WHAT SHOULD I DO. this whole thing is soooo stupid but what should i do??

sucks man. just tell your teacher what your actual intentions were.

You fail at following directions and listening, which is probably more important than having knowledge.
Also, who writes in black sharpie marker? Idiot. I’m sorry.
Pay attention next time, and don’t hide a test. That’s not smart at all.

I did and he didnt believe me and that is y he emailed my mom cuz he thought i was lying on top of all this

i mean it was 1st pd and i was half asleep and it was a pop test and i wasnt thinking at all just doing. i barely remember it i was so asleep

Well you didn’t sell yourself well. I would’ve just taken the chewing out, what you did could compromise the integrity of a test.

That’s no excuse.

You guys are annoying. I’m sure he’s already had this conversation multiple times.

Anyways, just tell him your initial intentions. Either he’ll believe you or he won’t.

yup you are going to have to own up. get that sad face out :/

yeah lol happens, you make a lie to not get in trouble, and then you dig a deeper hole…

trufflie and mit need to shut up. this happens to all of us.

Just tell your teacher that something messed up hapened at home.

And you might get sent to the principal’s office, but you probably wont get detention or in big trouble. It was just a quiz, so i dont see what the problem is.

You are alowed to have sharpie markers in school? They are banned in my school. We get in huge trouble for having them. I know people who have them in school just cause they think they are cool for having them when they arent suposed to.

And if you have trouble listening to instructions you might have ADD.

Mistake #1: Starting when he said not to.

Mistake #2: Writing in black sharpie. Especially when you’ve had this problem before.

Mistake #3: Not coming clean to the teacher.

Mistake #4: Trying to screw over another student.

Mistake #5: Stealing a pop test, for whatever reason.

Mistake #6: Consenting to a search when you didn’t have to.

Mistake #7: Giving him the test after he couldn’t find it.

Granted, #7 is just a mistake because it got you in trouble, it’s actually the right thing to do.

Solution #1: Explain the situation as best you can, and hope they believe you.

Solution #2: See #1.

If you couldn’t write on the test, why did everyone have their names written on them? Isn’t that in itself go against what the teacher had said? And if people were to write their names on the test, why wouldn’t he let them write on the test in other places? It’s not like he’s going to be able to use them again. This doesn’t make sense to me.

^Yes, that is odd. Perhaps just an exercise in obedience? Or a lying/■■■■■ OP?

The biggest mistake you made was making the same mistake twice.

we wrote our names on the test so he knew that all the tests were accounted for and that the individual did not answer any of the questions in the test, and if they did, then he could kno who had the test perviously. its very common in my school

…And this is why you never lie and try to cover it up. You should’ve admitted your unimportant mistake before it turned into a bigger situation.

Most normal human beings would come clean, so I have very little sympathy for you. I wholeheartedly understand the administration’s assumption that you kept the test for “other” purposes.

Keleso we have standardized tests like that sometimes where you have to write your name on the test and you have to do your notes on a scrap sheet, but the funny thing is, they are always new and they never reuse them.
Maybe you are in another country where they let you have them, but we cant even use pens. You need to be able to erase in case you make a mistake.

MITHopeful16, something get up your colon this week?

I am assuming you are wanting to go to college.

Lose the black sharpies, never have one at school again. Pay closer attention. Also, you had a scantron, it is never okay to write on a test when you have a scantron. I don’t get why you would even be using a black sharpie if you thought you could write on the test or why you would think you could write on a test when there is a scantron?

BUT, regardless, it happened so time to move forward. Spend the rest of your days with this teacher being the best and most apologetic person person. Do your best and get rid of the sharpies. Listen for instructions. If the teacher is talking, you are listening.

Did you get suspended?

If not, it’s not on your record.

Just try to get an A for the semester.
