Does anyone know if Georgia Tech has joined the many schools in announcing that suspensions for non-violent, lawful gun violence protests will not hurt admission status or chances?
I don’t have an answer but I do have a question. If students thought that protesting may affect their admission status, would those students still choose to protest?
I suppose it depends on the student.
I would hope not. A student walking out to protest something shows that they care more about politics than they do about their education.
The civil rights movement was carried largely on the backs of students protesting. So your take is somewhat… Interesting.
