<p>To not have heard a single peep out of the UC's about whether or not I've been accepted. It seriously difficult to find the motivation to finish strong when I don't even know if I'm going to college or not next year. Ughhh. Anybody else feel this way? Is there anybody else who literally hasn't heard from a single UC yet? Here I am sitting at UCSC right now experiencing what it would be like to transfer here and I'm going bananas trying to wait it out.</p>

<p>did you also apply to slug.edu, oppps, i mean UCSC? i applied to UCSC just to make sure someone accepted me. they were trying to recruit me actively from my CCC, so i guessed they would admit me. damn, that really sucks not hearing back from any of them yet. which UC schools did you apply to?</p>
<p>anyway, look for a recruiter and make friends with them. they have to admit you. duh.</p>
<p>@Northbeach- Yeah, I did. UCSC (unlike many), is my #1 for various reasons. I also applied to UCI, UCR, UCM and UCSB with no word from any of them thus far. I’ve contemplated going down to admissions and talking with somebody about this whole application process. I can’t imagine that of ALL of the UC’s I have applied to that I wouldn’t have at least heard from UCR…Makes me wonder if I did something wrong. Perhaps its because I spent my first year at an OOS 4 year? Who knows…</p>
<p>don’t rely on emails check your portal! I got accepted to UCSC & UCM with no email. UCR sent me one though</p>
<p>that sucks man. definitely go down and find out what is happening. as uchappytrain said, you definitely need to login to the UCSC portal. but you did that right? keep us posted! and UCSC is a very good school. my dad’s mentor (when my dad was at CAL) was the head of UCSC for a while, and the chancellor of all the UC schools at one point; “gregory bateson”</p>
<p>bateson graduated from cambridge and the school is set up in the english style. and of course, the banana slug mascot!</p>
<p>also, dr. migliore is one of the mathematics professors and he is superb.</p>
<p>@UChappy- Oh yeah, I check my portals a few times every day to see the same ol “Thank you for applying for the Fall 2012 term” message…So frustrating!</p>
<p>@Northbeach- What do you think they would tell me anyways? It seems like everybody gets the same piece of information from every UC when they call and ask about their applications. “Decisions will be posted on a rolling basis as soon as a decision has been released”. Also, I was dining at Terra Fresca here at UCSC with my boyfriend as some of his apartment mates the other day, and we ended up sitting right next to the current UCSC Chancellor. None of them could identify him, but I took a look at him and could immediately tell he was a chancellor. He was wearing a banana slug pin and vintage suite, for goodness sakes! lol</p>
<p>what! a banana slug pin?! oh, my dad would die for one of those. how cool that he is out and about. well, i have had great conversations with the folks at the UC’s i have applied to, but i just go directly to the departments that handle my major, not the admissions. </p>
<p>here is the portal to check admissions, but of course you check that every hour, right?</p>
