Discrepancy in activites - how do i prove to colleges

I qualified to a national tournament in debate my freshman year. The results were on joyoftournaments, but are now archived and I have no way to show that I did qualify to that tournament. If they google it, since it was 3 years ago, they will have a hard time finding it. However, it is one of my bigger accomplishments (national level).

Will they give me the opportunity to explain or something? or will they be like - this kid lied he’s out. because it is the truth, and they can tell from my app i am very involved in debate, but how do they check it online? or if they contact my counselors, my counselors will say I did qualify, but doesn’t that shed a kind of distrust on my application if they have to ask in the first place?

They don’t need to check it.

@bodangles don’t colleges verify information a lot of the time?

Colleges don’t have time to check every detail. My guess is if they check anything, they only check something that seems really out of character or improbable.

I think you are worrying about nothing. As long as you are not lying, you are fine.

The above posters are correct, @y0l0lsen --colleges won’t check.
