Discrepancy in due dates re: SSA submission?

Good morning. I heard a secondhand reference in a Parents of the Class of 2020 thread, to the “IU snafu of one date in emails from the school but another online where the application gets submitted.”

I’m trying to get further information from that member. Does anyone else know what this refers to? My D submitted her SSA last night (Dec 14). She’s in school today taking finals so I can’t check this with her.

I do recall the postcard referred to a January 15 (not 1/15) due date for LOR’s to accompany the SSA, and a December 15 due date for the SSA itself. That LOR deadline is not the disconnect, is it?

According to DD2, SSA application went down yesterday, the 14th. She said she got an email extending the application deadline from 12/15 to 12/16. As far as I know, letters of rec are due Jan. 15, 2016.

@Bigmacattack we ultimately called the Scholarship Office and this was indeed the information they provided. It turned out that in our individual situation, D was okay. Thanks!
