hahah i'm trying to keep myself distracted too. tonight i'm having a bunch of friends over for lost/dinner. tomorrow after school i'm going shopping for senior trip stuff and when i get home i'm taking a nap. you know what makes me a sad panda? my friend who got into another school ED never withdrew any of her other applications (one was for hopkins) because she was "just curious". that makes me a little upset....even though it shouldn't. i mean, if she did it- i bet a bunch of other kids did it too. so today i guess i was a little nervous with decision day coming up and i said to her jokingly "i hope you feel bad that you're depriving someone of an acceptance letter." she laughed and innocently replied "oh c'mon be serious no i'm not" ..and made me feel like a complete jerk. which i guess i was. and now i'm just venting about nothing. oops.

This may be a bit random, but: theluckiest, isn't what your friend did (failing to withdraw her other applications) in violation of that school's ED Agreement?

If it means violating an agreement, most people wouldn't do it, would they?

yeah i think you're right. it's a violation of the ED agreement. however, i don't think schools really check up on that...no ED police (couldn't think of anything)...no way of finding out. maybe hs guidance counselors should keep tabs on that kind of stuff but when you go to a large public school, it's impossible and a lot of things seem to get overlooked. and no, i don't think most people would violate the agreement but my friend honestly believes that she isn't hurting anyone's chances.

Actually, top schools do check (at least that's what I've heard.) She should withdraw...

Watch America's Next Top Model.
What good can come from watching such a show?
Why, I feel much
more confident, more fortunate, more coordinated,
a lot smarter, and better off.
Plus it's fun to do something uneducational once in a while..
