Diversity At BC

I just toured BC and I loved it!! So beautiful, so much school spirit, strong academics, etc.
The only concern: diversity. I’ve seen so many threads on here about this but I just wanted to double check…

I consider myself to be “artsy.” I’m not athletic at all but I do enjoy going to sports games. But I find frat boys and overly sports-obsessed people annoying ahaha. I enjoy going to museums, classical music performances, etc.
Will I find people like me at BC? I got the image of athleticism here, but there’s gotta be some people that are quirky and artistic… right? So I guess my question is: Is there a diversity in social life, or is it just “jocks” on campus?
Also I’m Asian, and while on tour I never really saw any Asians. Can someone talk about the racial diversity too?

according to IPEDS. BC is 9% Asian, 10% Hispanic (and 59% White).

One of the great things about straddling the Boston City line, is that its really easy to get downtown to the museum and other artsy-things happening in the City.

BC also has a thriving Arts program on campus. But yes, it also has D1 sports, which creates a high level of school spirit. Lotsa to do for all types. You will find your people on a medium-sized campus of thousands.

Are you into music? BC has a TON of A Capella groups, wind ensemble, symphonic band, Bop (jazz), etc. The marching band is made up of all kinds of quirky, artsy (and some not artsy at all) types. You’re a short ride from all that Boston offers…My daughter’s been to the Boston Symphony and the Museum on Fine Arts in the past month, and she’s a business major (not artsy at all), but it’s all so accessible…
