divorced parents

I feel I may have asked this question before but a father's income doesn't count for efc when you don't live with him? I know you have to count child support as an asset but they don't count the rest of his income as an asset right?

For FAFSA you only include the income and assets of the custodial parent (and spouse if applicable).

For profile you include he income and assets of both parents (and their spouses if applicable).

hey if your dad lives in europe, do u still include him?

Bigbomb...I don't think it matters where your dad lives. If he has income and assets and your parents are married...it goes on the FAFSA and PROFILE. If your parents are not married..it would not go on the FAFSA but would still go on the PROFILE.

Someone here probably has a better knowledge of how to report out of country income since some expats do not file U.S. income tax forms.
