Do all IR Programs at the Grad level require an economics background?

At my school, Columbia University, they don't have a real IR major, so I've just been taking some poli sci classes for my major, with a focus on IR, but I haven't take any econ classes yet. I was considering going to grad school for IR, but when I took a look at a couple of their requirements, some listed economics. To get started on econ now would require me to retake a couple calc classes and then about three more classes to meet the requirements I saw. It would be very difficult for me to add these in now, as I'm also double majoring in a language. I hope that I didn't completely screw this up, but things don't look very reassuring.

Anyone?

@CompletelyLost - Some schools require econ and some highly prefer it (pretty much the same thing, huh?) and that’s because they’re econ focused. Your school, Columbia, and schools like Johns Hopkins SAIS are schools that focus on econ or want some type of quantitative work before you enter their IR grad programs. But, by and far, when you look at the 34 APSIA member schools, most of them do not require a econ background. But it helps.
