Do any of u guys know good extra curricular?

I’m a Junior in high school currently, I just want to know is there anything that I can do to fill up my extra curricular activities. I currently did speech and debate club and FBLA club for two years and took a year break, but i think i lack on leadership program. I am currently doing freshman mentoring program, it kinda shows leadership i guess, but not really. Can u guys suggest any extracurricular that I can do to fill up my extra curricular? Thank you

Have you checked volunteermatch.org? Tons of ideas for your zipcode I’m sure. Look outside your school.

Thanks so much !! Can i find any leadership position in that website?

If you’re doing EC’s just for the sake of boosting a college application, I wouldn’t really recommend it. Just focus on ones you enjoy or have an interest in.

Thank u for good advice  I’m kinda paranoid these days about my college, only few months left for end of second semester of junior year -_-

Try spelling team. They teach u words, such as “you”.

@Anish14 "They teach u words, such as “you”.

I honestly did not understand the meaning of that sentence.

Create a new club!!!

Civil Air Patrol can give you training and experience in leadership and whole bunch of cool opportunities, like flying. PM me if you would like more info - I’ve been in for 3 1/2 years and have really enjoyed it.

I’m also in FBLA, so I can definitely relate.

Well pick extracurricular in the area that you would like to study (major/minor in) in college. If you are completely clueless as to what you want to study in college, diversity is key.

Colleges love to see that your schedule is full with diverse, unique classes. Make sure you are all done with your gym credits though, because in most schools you need them to graduate.

I’m in clubs like SECME, Beta Club, National Honors Society, NCSSS (It’s for STEM), Student Council, and Experimental Science. It’s hard to make any recommendations without knowing your interests. I will say that you’ll have a difficult time trying to find a leadership position, joining so late. I’m the president of SECME and Beta at my school, but that was after being acquainted with the clubs for a year or so. Another option for you is internship. I’m interning at a dental lab, and it’s definitely a unique experience. Try to look for opportunities around you.
