Do any usc frats not require drinking? or dont drink at all???

Any fraternities out there that don't require drinking??
Hey i was just wondering if their are any fraternities at USC that do not require drinking or do not drink at all. I am looking to rush but i never plan on drinking even when I turn 21 and certainly wont drink as part of the pledge process. I was thinking of joining one that had some sort of business affiliation.

Please be honest!
Thanks

There are two pre-professional co-ed frats affiliated with Marshall that might be more what you’re looking for as they are focused on networking, interest in business careers, community service, and building friendships. Alpha Kappa Si and Delta Sigma Pi:
[USC Marshall Active Student Orgs](http://www.marshall.usc.edu/undergradprograms/active-student-orgs.htm)

most of the business frats do drink. dont think its part of the pledge process but i know they like their beer pong

You’re going to have a hard time being in a fraternity with that absolute mentality.

well im wondering why it has to be that hard to join something like Alpha Kappa Si when you dont drink… i dont for very personal reasons and i think its pointless. some fraternity must have some kind of sympathy for this.

ago-christian fraternity.

i know the dudes in akpsi and a number of them drink probably 3-4 days outta the week

you’d be better off at dsp imo

I think we all respect your decision not to drink, but it just doesn’t make sense to join a frat if you don’t. It doesn’t make sense to join an orchestra if you are morally opposed to playing an instrument, if you catch my drift.

^there’s obviously alot of reasons to join a frat besides drinking, espcially at USC which is known for networking. AND furthermore, it’s even more important for Marshall students who want to make connections and relationships while at a top 10 undergrad b-school…

anyway, i’m sure there’s at least ONE sXe frat at USC–maybe

Pretty much sums it up. The networking in fraternities occurs mainly as a result from the partying/drinking/bonding that goes on. It’s that easy. If you don’t want to participate in that, you will not be out of luck with networking, though, so don’t worry. There are tons of organizations on campus that are heavy on networking with not only your fellow students, but also practitioners in your field of interest/alumni.

Hear, hear. It’s wishful thinking that there are fraternities who don’t require their pledges to drink; and that’s all.

I’d join a frat if they didn’t involve so much partying also. I plan to just get involved in a ton of clubs to make up for it so I still make a lot of friends and can involve myself in community service and networking.

Take a look at AGO, Alpha Gamma Omega.

I have a friend who pledged Sigma Phi Epsilon last semester who doesn’t drink for religious purposes. He still has a great time in the fraternity, and was never forced to drink.

i would think they would be thrilled to have a full time designated driver.

What’s the big deal about drinking? It’s fun!
