Do college's have speech therapists? I have an impediment where i pronounce my r's as w's and im very insecure about it. I did go to a therapist in elementary school but it didnt help so i dropped out. I got back in it my senior year but the speech teacher never helped me enough for me to improve it. Im going to a small liberal arts college(private) if that matters.

hey i dont really have a concrete answer since it changes school to school but i felt i had to answer since i had a similar situation (not the r->w, but i have a pretty distinct stutter);

anyways a few months ago i googled for speech therapists at my school and came up short, BUT i did find a few around my surrounding area (walking distance) that were pretty affordable so maybe that can help out :D

thank you AKshoreshack, that’s what i plan on doing. But it would be a whole lot more convenient if my school had one, it would be closer, and free. But if they are affordable I will deff look into them as I really want to get this issue fixed

Maybe if your school doesn’t actually employ a speech therapist, you could look and see if they (or any surrounding colleges) have a speech therapy program. Maybe the department or a professor could help you out, kind of like how dental schools will do free dental work.
