Do colleges see what other colleges you are applying to?

I have a friend who applied ED to a school and EA to others as well. She got deferred or rejected from all the EA schools and deferred from her ED school. All the EAs were target schools. I heard that it’s because when you apply early decision, other colleges can see that and they see your not committed to their college. Is this true?

No

Someone please confirm this: I’ve read on CC that if u fill out FAFSA, the colleges u put in FAFSA can see the names of the other colleges u entered into FAFSA. And some colleges infer from the order that u list the colleges that that is your order of preference. Some colleges that u listed further down in the order infer that you are a poor yield risk.

I’ve read to avoid that to alphabetize your schools to avoid looking like you ranked them according to preference .

Note that some states require you to put in state public on the top of the list for state fund.

If I’m applying to some 15 schools, can I group them in pairs of 3 or 4 and create multiple FAFSAs?

Regardless though, most competitive schools require CSS as well right? And in CSS, the colleges can see which other schools you applied to, correct?

Not creating multiple FAFSAs, but submit it a couple times with different schools on them.
